Kangana is heading for US for Hansal Mehta’s Simran

Kangana Ranaut is all set to head for US to shoot for Hansal Mehta’s Simran. The film which has been in the news ever since the first look of the film and the name of Kangana’s character, Praful Patel, was revealed. It is reportedly inspired by the life of Sandeep Kaur, an NRI nurse in the US, who was sent to prison last year for robbing banks to pay off her gambling debts. In a recent interview, Kangana had stated that she was looking forward to working with Hansal Mehta, whom she considered as “one of the most incredible talents of today.” She also said that his Aligarh was one of the best films India had witnessed in the last 10 years. The best part about him that she adored was his respect for women. “He genuinely has respect for women. He is extremely supportive of me. He takes care of everyone around him. I am looking forward to working with him,” she said in a section of the media. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh, Simran is scripted by Apurva Asrani. The film will start shooting in US soon. Kangana’s next release is Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon, co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
